Brett Russell PT, ATC, LMT/NMT, Owner

Brett is originally from McGraw, New York and a graduate of SUNY Buffalo in 1991, where he received a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy. Brett moved to the Upstate in 1994 and became certified as an athletic trainer in 1996. He attended the SE School of Neuromuscular Massage where he earned a certification as a neuromuscular therapist in 1999. Brett achieved his dream of opening his own clinic in Travelers Rest in 2009 and couldn't be happier with the decision. 

Brett has been blessed with three beautiful children; Haley Jo, Luke and Marcus, and enjoys the time they spend together. When not working, Brett enjoys hiking with "KC, the wonder dog", fishing, biking, kayaking and participating in all outdoor activities. 

Shiela Miller 

Originally from Oregon, Shiela Miller has also lived in California, Nevada, Texas, South Korea and currently resides in Piedmont, SC, with her husband and two teen children. She became a massage therapist in 2000, working part-time both in her home and in a chiropractor's office. Since moving to SC in 2002, Shiela has been a part-time massage therapist in her Piedmont home, and more recently also at Russell Physical Therapy in Travelers Rest. In 2014, she started another career as a physical therapist assistant, working PRN both at Russell Physical Therapy and at local in-patient rehabilitation facilities. Shiela loves to read and has self-published her memoirs. She also has traveled extensively around the world, teaches a weekly children's ballet class, and enjoys walking her three dogs and her two ferrets. 

Tony Tomkins PT, CMTPT

Tony has 26 years of experience in working for and operating out patient physical therapy clinics with an emphasis on orthopedics and sports medicine. He has extensive training in the area of foot and ankle mechanics along with the evaluation and prescription of custom orthotics. He places  high emphasis on manual therapy and believes in taking a holistic and comprehensive approach to treating his patients. He is also certified in the treatment of trigger point dry needling and has been treating complex spinal and extremity injuries for a number of years. He is passionate about working with the geriatric population along with sports athletes, industrial workers, and the weekend warrior. He is extremely personable and deeply cares about not only treating but also getting to know each and every patient. He is a father of 2 and a fitness and wellness fanatic. He can be found hiking, traveling, or spending time with his family in his spare time.

Susan Tarrance 

Susan has been in the health and fitness industry for 25 years. She is passionate about her clients and their goals. She has vast experience with post rehab, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cardiac rehab, dementia, stroke victims, pre-and post bariatric surgery patients. She also spent many years in management of health clubs to include: budgeting, employee payroll, fitness equipment and repairs, pool operations, chemicals and repairs and scheduling for floor trainers.

Tamela Taylor 

Tamela Taylor has worked as the office manager for Russell Physical Therapy since November 2009. She lives in Lyman, SC with her husband, Kevin and westie named Griffey. She has one child who is married and resides in Atlanta. She enjoys gardening, drawing, walking and hiking with Griff, and spending time with family and friends.
